Our thumbs are now well conditioned to the idea of swiping left to discard and right to say yes. With the success of Tinder, that user experience has now begun to infiltrate other aspects of our lives, such as job searching with the new app from TheLadders. The job-matching service already entered the mobile space with their app Job Search in 2013, which targets job seekers, allowing easy navigation of posted jobs and a ‘like’ button to inform recruiters of interest in a position.
Why I’m Curious:
This seems like an easier way for recruiters to review candidates no matter where they are. My favorite part is how easy it is to contact a job seeker with a simple swipe that reveals links to call, text, or email the candidate. Tinder seems to be kind of a big thing these days, so I’m curious to see if this type of thing catches on as well.
