New York City pranksters, recently pulled off a stunt where they posed as city workers providing a solution to the texting and walking epidemic in the city.
How the stunt worked: Half of the team put on orange vests and became “Seeing Eye People” who claiming to be apart of the Department of Transportation pilot program. The other half walked along texting while attached to the Seeing Eye People by leashes.
Why I’m curious:
I love a good laugh! However, this is interesting to me on a couple of levels. One: Are technologies and programs so advance and does it offer so many solutions we have now endangered users? Two: Does this mean we are great at creating digital solutions? If so, does this mean the better we become at our jobs and offering them digital solutions are we increasing everyday risks like walking?
